I wouldn't want you to think I'm just another mindless defender of Israel and scorner of the plight of the Palestinians and their narrative. I have so far produced only posts that expose anti-Israel bias in expected places like The Guardian and the BBC, as well as unexpected places like Vogue.
Now here is a site that claims that the BBC is institutionally pro-Israel. It offers a detailed critique, complete with carefully thought out analytic categories which can be applied to any piece of reporting about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It includes much that might seem surprising, including this paragraph which finds Orla Guerin insufferable because of her pro-Israel bias:
As soon as a “suicide bombing” occurs, it is immediately broadcast on the BBC. The insufferable correspondent Orla Guerin often appears at the scene of the latest bombing giving an account full of pathos. The only thing that is missing is that she would pick up one body part or another.
It also excoriates the BBC for showing a smiling picture of Ariel Sharon
Does this photo portray Sharon in a way that reflects his criminal deeds?
It is well worth reading. I have to point out that this poster publishes some of his work on Counterpunch whose particular point of view has been comprehensively analysed by Oliver Kamm.
I went to the "Cooling the Tube" talk at the Building Centre last night - there's going to be aircon on 800 cerriagas on the subsurface lines by 2009. Putting aircon on deep level lines would just dump air back into the system and, we were advised, could be positively dangerous on a train that had stalled in a tunnel (where's the heat going to go...?). You're a prat Boris
