When I first read the account, I assumed that the trees were gharqad trees.

But, I thought only Israelis and Zionists behaved badly and everyone else is on the side of the angels.
Next thing you know, we'll be hearing stories of how the first Zionists carefully bought up vacant land at exhorbitant prices, provided employment for Arabs from all over the Levant and generally improved the standard of living via health care and education for everyone living in the region.
